Don’t get sued for using Google images illegally

Finance & Legal | 0 comments

So, recently I was a part of the WordCamp web design conference in Kansas City. While most of the discussion was about web design, there was a LOT of discussion about photography.

Using Google to find images for your website or your marketing may seem like an easy option, but I heard a couple of horror stories at the conference where companies were seeking damages from images being used illegally. It’s just not a safe practice. And can be costly.

As an alternative, many of us use free photo sites like Unsplash.com, but I get frustrated because it’s hard to find a quality, unique photo that competitors aren’t using. They just don’t have the selection I want.

And, buying stock photography is just expensive.

I use photography all the time in my business. I’m always on the look out for great photography that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

This morning in my email, a friend shared an awesome deal that DepositPhotos.com is offering through AppSumo. You can purchase high-quality stock photos for your blogs, marketing, printing, video, personal and commercial projects. For $.49 per image!!! Insane. I’ve never seen high quality stock photography this cheap.

It was so good, I had to share it. I grabbed some for my business and thought you might be interested too!

Here’s the link if you’re interested.
